Our Studio Rebuild

On the morning of January 28, 2018, Portland Fire & Rescue responded to a call at 4620 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy.  When crews arrived, they reported heavy black smoke coming from the center section of the building – home to the Murray School of Irish Dance for over two decades. The damage to the building, studio and the school's costumes and supplies were significant.  This was a crushing blow to Geraldine, her students, and the Irish dance community.  With the financial help provided in part by the community through our gofundme campaign, the school reopened in a new location and continues the education of elementary, middle school, and high school students as they strive to learn more about Irish culture and dance.

Thanks to all who supported The Murray School and to those who continue to support The Murray School of Irish Dancing!

Go raibh maith agat!

St. patrick's day - the show must go on!

Despite January 2018’s devastating fire, the Murray Dancers were back in form by St. Patrick's Day, performing dozens of shows at schools, restaurants and pubs, public events, senior living centers and more! Watch this story from KATU to see our dancers preparing for their big weekend in our new studio space.
